Crafty BBQ Ideas on a Budget
Looking for quick, affordable ways to get your yard BBQ-ready? Aside from trimming the grass and cleaning up pet spots, add a homemade touch with these crafty ideas you can do with a few bucks and five minutes.
Buy plain terracotta pots and use them to hold silverware, napkins, veggies, straws and more. For special occasions, you can paint the pots (i.e. red, white and blue for Independence Day).
Grab a pack of red and green balloons, blow them up, and draw little polka dots on the red ones with a black Sharpie. Pair together, and you’ve got festive, watermelon-themed balloons, seeds and all.
Six-pack Condiment Holder
Find your favorite summer wrapping paper and an empty six-pack holder. Wrap the holder, taping on the inside. Place mustard, ketchup and other condiments inside. Deliciously simple.
Add some summer fun to a string of plain, white lights with colorful muffin cups. Cut a scallop around the edge of each cup, and gently punch the light through the bottom. You’ve got pretty paper flowers with a bright white center.
Freshly grown Veggie Containers
Reuse plastic flower cartons as fun veggie servers. After removing the plants, wash the containers thoroughly with hot soapy water. After drying, put carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower and other veggies inside for a fresh treat.
